LATVIA PLANS TO JOIN TRACECA INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT PROGRAM, LATVIAN TRANSPORT MINISTER
Baku, August 11 (AzerTAc). Latvia plans to join TRACECA international transport program, said Latvian minister of transport Kaspars Gerhards.
Gerhards said his country will have an access to Asian space through TRACECA.
According to the minister, Latvia will join a meeting of TRACECA intergovernmental commission with observer status.
He stressed Azerbaijan is a strategic point for TRACECA and other transport corridors, saying “cooperation with Azerbaijan in transportation sector will be very useful for Latvia”.
The Latvian minister offered Azerbaijani government to use its ports for access to the Baltic region and Europe.
