TURKISH FM: PROGRESS IN TURKEY-RUSSIA RELATIONS TO POSITIVELY IMPACT ON NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT
Baku, August 11 (AzerTAc). Improvement in relationship between Turkey and Russia will have a positive impact on resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said.
According to Davutoglu, the international community must show support for resolution of the dispute, while the parties must demonstrate strong will.
He underlined Turkey backs Russia`s efforts to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Minister also noted settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was “one of the subjects” in the negotiations during Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin`s visit to Turkey.
“The only way for Armenia to avoid economic difficulties is to normalize relationship with Azerbaijan and to integrate into regional economic cooperation”, Davutoglu said.
