PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV MEETS LATVIAN COUNTERPART
Baku, 10 August (AzerTAc). Today, following the official welcome ceremony, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva met Latvian President Valdis Zatlers and his spouse Lilita Zatlere.
Later on, Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Valdis Zatlers of Latvia met in private.
Heads of states praised current state of political and economic relations between the two countries.
They said reciprocal visits by top officials make certain contribution to expanding bilateral ties.
The two presidents stated there is a “great” potential to further develop Azerbaijani-Latvian relations.
They expressed assurance the Azerbaijan-Latvian relationship would continue to strengthen and develop in the coming years.
Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Valdis Zatlers also exchanged views on regional and international affairs.
