ARMENIA MUST RETURN SEVEN REGIONS SORROUNDING NAGORNO-KARABAKH TO AZERBAIJAN, MATTHEW BRYZA
Baku, August 8 (AzerTAc). Armenia must return seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan, American co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Matthew Bryza said.
Bryza noted five regions must be returned immediately and another two ones after definite period of time. It can take up to five years, he added.
The co-chair noted international peace-making forces must be deployed in the conflict zone. The composition of the force will be determined by the parties themselves.
Bryza pointed out in accordance with the Madrid document, security of the Nagorno-Karabakh population must be guaranteed with interim status granted until referendum is held.
The co-chiar also underlined the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be settled on the basis of three principles – territorial integrity, self-determination and non-use of force.
