CHIEF OF INSPECTION OF TURKISH GENERAL COMMAND OF GENDARMERIE ARRIVES IN BAKU
Baku, August 6 (AzerTAc). Chief of inspection of Turkish General Command of Gendarmerie, colonel-general Osman Eker arrived in Azerbaijan`s capital.
Here, the Turkish official visited the Alley of Honors and laid a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, and put flowers at the grave of eminent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
Eker also visited the Alley of Martyrs to pay tribute to Azerbaijani brave sons, who died for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
He laid wreaths at the Eternal Fire monument and at the monument of Turkish soldiers who died for independence of Azerbaijan in 1918.
The Turkish official visited the Central Office of Azerbaijan Interior Ministry`s Interior Troops to meet with Commander, General-Lieutenant Zakir Hasanov.
He also visited the monument erected in memory of shahid interior troops. Eker signed a guest book here.
