Iran, Russian state of Olianovsk to expand cooperation

Iran’s General Consul in Kazan, capital of Tatarstan Republic, Reza Baghban Kondori in a meeting on Tuesday with Olianovsk province Governor Sergey Marouzov considered ways to develop cooperation.

The Russian governor expressed readiness for expansion of cooperation with Iran.
He also welcomed Iranian participation with Russian investors in construction of a cane factory in Olianovsk special economic zone to produce fruit cane.
Meanwhile, the Russian official by referring to plane manufacturing passenger planes (Tupolov-204) and transportation planes ( AN-100) in the area, expressed desire to sell them to Iran.
Kondori, for his part, said that his aim to visit the province is to get acquainted with its economic capacities and connecting the public and private sectors of both sides in this concern.
The Iranian official also met with head of Olianovsk Cement Factory and a car manufacturing plant in the area.
Moreover, Kondori visited Olianovsk Aviation College and expressed Iran’s readiness for exchanging professors and students with Iranian related colleges.
Olianovsk province has one million and 322 thousand population and is located in the Volga region.
