Iran condemns inaction of Security Council toward Israel

Iranian envoy at the United Nations denounced inaction of the UN Security Council towards Israeli systematic killing of Palestinians.

Iran’s deputy permanent ambassador to the UN Eshaq Ale-Habib, during a session of the UN Security Council on Monday, called for decisive reaction towards crimes being committed by the Zionist forces in Palestine.

He regretted that the Zionist regime’s policies in the occupied lands run counter to all international norms and regulations.

He said that systematic killing of the innocent Palestinian people have continued in the past few months.

Referring to the critical situation in the Gaza Strip, the Iranian envoy reiterated that the Zionists atrocities have also been continued in the Golan heights and against Lebanese and Syrian people as well.

He stressed that inaction of the International Community, the UN Security Council, in particular, has escalated brutalities of the Tel Aviv regime killing the defenseless people.

He dismissed the allegations made by the Israeli envoy over Iranian support for terrorism and a plan to produce nuclear arms, he said Tel Aviv regime attempted to mislead public opinion of the world nations from its savage crimes being committed in Palestine.

It is ridiculous that a regime which possesses stockpiles nuclear weapons and is not a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and its existence is pending on state terrorism and bloodshed accuses the other of baseless charges, Ale-Habib said.

“Nothing is more dangerous than nuclear weapons in hand of Israel which is well-known for outright violation of the international law and the human rights,” the Iranian envoy added.
