Iran, Iraq ink MoU to boost trade
Iranian and Iraqi trade officials on Monday evening signed an agreement on removal of obstacles in the way of boosting trade.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked by officials of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines (ICCIM) and the Iraqi counterparts.
Deputy head of ICCIM said at the signing ceremony that agreement aims at removing the problems for trade as well as export promotion.
Sha’ban Foroutan said that fortunately the ground is well prepared for expansion of province-to-province trade including Iranian province of Ilam with Baghdad.
He added the travel of 11-member delegation of Iraqis to Ilam on July 24 and the mutual talks held between the two provincial officials on cooperation would pave ways for export promotion and creating jobs as well.
