Tajikistan keen on expanding cultural ties with Iran

– Tajik Education Minister Abdul Jabbar Rahmanov called for the expansion of cultural cooepration with Iran.

In a meeting with the managing director of the Scientific Cultural Publishing House, Ali Zarei Najafdari, he said that the ancient culture and friendship between the two nations play a crucial role in developing cooperation between the two nations.

“We will be glad to have constructive interaction with the Iranian educational entities,” he noted.

Expressing pleasure over holding the first international exhibition and seminar of Iranian universities and higher education centers which was held recently by the publishing house in Dushanbe, he said signing 96 cooperation agreements by the two countries’ universities and research centers indicates the success of the event.

Underlining further interaction between the Iranian and Tajik scientific and cultural elites, he further said given the deep cultural and historical bonds between the two nations, more investment in different fields looks justifiable.

Undoubtedly, the cultural and scientific cooperation between the two countries will further consolidate political and economic ties, Zarei noted.
