3 Iranian pilgrims killed, 31 wounded in terrorist attack in Iraq
Three Iranian pilgrims were martyred and 31 others wounded when the bus carrying them was attacked by several Iraqi terrorists Tuesday evening, it was announced Wednesday.
The Governor of Qasr-e Shirin, a border city in the western Kermanshah province, Bahram Teimouri, added that the terrorist attack occurred at 23:00 hours local time (18:30 GMT) at 30 kms from the Iraqi city of Khaneqin.
The bus carrying Iranian pilgrims was enroute to the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad when it was attacked by the armed men, the official added.
The wounded, who all are in satisfactory physical conditions, are currently at the Khaneqin hospital and will soon be transferred to Iran, Teimouri further announced.
