Mineral Springs in DPRK

 Pyongyang, February 22 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK, there are many springs with high mineral contents and different tastes.
Among them are Okryu mineral spring on the bank of the Taedong River in Pyongyang, Komhung mineral spring in Komhung-ri, Sukchon County of South Phyongan Province, Okhodong mineral spring in Yaksu-ri, Sonchon County of North Phyongan Province and Chojong mineral spring in Unchon County of South Hwanghae Province.
Most famous is Kangso mineral spring. The spring with sub-acidity contains calcium, sodium, magnesium, iron, sulfate ions and other ingredients good for human body. It is internationally recognized as a pure and clean natural drink, ideal green drink.
There is the modern Kangso Mineral Water Factory in Kangso District, Nampho Municipality. A mineral water bath house, a comprehensive mass medical care center, was built in the place to contribute to the health and treatment of the people.
One day in June 2017, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Kangso Mineral Water Factory and said that there are many mineral or hot springs in all parts of our country, adding that we should make a positive contribution to promoting the people's health by using them well.
Thanks to the people-oriented policies of the Workers' Party of Korea, sanatoriums and health resorts were built in the places where mineral springs gush out. -0-
