HM King receives Ramadhan greetings from Al Azhar Grand Imam

Manama, Feb. 19 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a message of congratulations from His Eminence Professor Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Al Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadhan.

The Grand Imam extended congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty and wished the Kingdom and its people continued progress and prosperity.

His Eminence expressed appreciation for the longstanding relation between Al Azhar and the Kingdom of Bahrain, highlighting the role of this relation in promoting the true Islamic values and advancing moderation, coexistence and global peace.

In response, His Majesty the King sent a message of thanks to the Grand Imam, in which His Majesty extended congratulations and best wishes to His Eminence and members of Al Azhar on the holy month.

His Majesty commended the Grand Imam’s efforts in serving Islam and promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence.
