`ON DEVELOPMENT OF PRESS AZERBAIJAN IS ONE OF LEADING COUNTRIES IN POST-SOVIET SPACE`, AZERI OFFICIAL

Baku, 20 July (AzerTAc). From the point of view of development of press, Azerbaijan is one of the leading states not only in the South Caucasus, but also in the whole post-soviet space, Ali Hasanov, the head of socio-political department of Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan said. Azerbaijan is an only country in the post-soviet space that it needs no permission from state bodies to release a newspaper and engage in written media. So, except the incomes from advertising, the press is free of taxes.
Azerbaijan is also an only state in this space to accept the state conception on development and state support for press.
