Koryo Paper Production Increases in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- According to Minju Joson, the Sunan Koryo Paper Mill is boosting the production of Koryo paper by dint of traditional papermaking technology associated with wisdom and talents of the Korean people.
Koryo paper, called "Korean paper" from olden times and spread to neighboring countries, is unique and excellent for being white, tough, smooth, soft and resistant to worms.
The Koryo paper produced at the mill is various in its kinds, including paper bearing natural landscapes and paper of various colors.
The mill is directing efforts to producing Koryo paper in an industrial way.
The mill, which already established a paper production process in contact with relevant units, has laid a foundation for mass-producing high-quality Koryo paper by intensifying research to gloss the both sides of paper with remodeled machines.
It also introduced Koryo paper into various sectors, including the cosmetics industry sector, and opened up a prospect for producing various kinds of sanitary goods. -0-
