Bahrain, Brazil discuss parliamentary cooperation

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA):  Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, received a Brazilian Congress delegation led by Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, the Chair of the Public Security Committee in the Brazilian Federal Senate.

The two sides emphasised the strong Bahrain-Brazil relations and explored efforts to strengthen parliamentary cooperation.

The two sides also discussed strengthening coordination and consultation between the two councils in international parliamentary forums and increasing joint work on shared regional and global issues.

The meeting addressed economic, commercial, and development cooperation, opportunities to broaden cooperation in these sectors, and the exchange of legislative and oversight experience.  Both sides emphasised the importance of parliamentary exchanges and communication to advance bilateral relations and serve the shared interests of both countries and peoples.
