HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Premier of Bermuda

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the Honourable E. David Burt, JP, MP, Premier of Bermuda, at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the shared commitment to enhancing cooperation with Bermuda to promote growth and prosperity and achieve common aspirations.
His Royal Highness also emphasised the importance of continuing to advance joint coordination to create future opportunities in the interests of both nations.
During the meeting, the following was announced:
1. The granting of sovereignty to Bermuda over the data of subscribers in cloud computing centres located in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
2. The granting of partner status to Bermuda for the maritime–air freight service in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
3. The granting of entry visas upon arrival in the Kingdom of Bahrain to holders of Bermudian passports.
Avenues to advance cooperation, the latest regional and international developments, and issues of common interest, were discussed.
His Royal Highness and the Premier of Bermuda toured the Prime Minister’s Office, where the Premier of Bermuda was briefed on the Office’s workstreams, plans and projects.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, along with several senior officials, also attended the meeting.
