New Technology for Producing Young Scallops Developed in DPRK

 Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- Scientists of Wonsan University of Fisheries and the Academy of Fishery Science in the DPRK developed a new technology enabling the coastal cities and counties with conditions for scallop farming to produce young scallops by their own, according to Rodong Sinmun.
The technology for increasing the production of young scallops while lowering the cost opened up a prospect for developing aquaculture in the coastal cities and counties.
It has been experimentally introduced into the Sinpho City Offshore Farm. As a result, it was scientifically proved that it meets all technical indices.
It laid another material and technical foundation for revitalizing aquaculture in the coastal cities and counties. -0-
