Bahrain parliamentary delegation participates in Executive Council meeting of APA in Doha

Doha, Dec. 24 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain’s parliamentary division delegation, headed by MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloum, Vice-President of Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) and head of the delegation, participated in the Executive Council meeting of the APA in Doha. The meeting was held within the framework of the Assembly’s Standing Committee on Budget and Planning.

The Executive Council discussed several agenda items, including the 20th anniversary of the Assembly, a proposal to establish affiliated centres and institutions, the APA Award for Cultural Excellence and Parliamentary Leadership, and promoting the values of diversity, unity, and shared principles across Asia.

The delegation highlighted that Bahrain’s participation reflects its ongoing support for the Assembly’s work and its commitment to contributing to institutional development, transparency, and financial discipline to enhance the Assembly’s parliamentary role in Asia.

This participation is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to maintain an active presence in regional and international parliamentary forums and to reinforce Bahrain’s position as a reliable partner in promoting sustainable development and Asian parliamentary cooperation.
