Al-Jouf Olive Oil Laboratory Strengthens Quality and Sustainability

Sakaka, December 24, 2025, SPA -- Al-Jouf olive oil quality testing laboratory has officially commenced operations in conjunction with the Al-Jouf Third International Agricultural Forum, marking a significant step toward enhancing the region’s lead in the agricultural sector and ensuring compliance with international food safety standards.
Inaugurated by Governor of Al-Jouf Region Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, the laboratory offers comprehensive testing services for olive oil, including chemical and physical analysis, while guiding farmers on best practices in harvesting, processing, and storage. These efforts aim to increase the economic value of Saudi olive oil and strengthen consumer confidence locally and internationally.
Equipped with advanced global technologies, the laboratory also plays a regulatory and research role by monitoring market compliance, detecting fraud, and supporting scientific studies and national capacity building in food quality control.
The initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, supporting sustainable food security and the development of agricultural processing industries.
