HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad attends World Camelids Sports General Assembly

Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee attended the World Camelids Sports (WCS) General Assembly meeting.

The meeting was chaired by His Highness Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Musaed and took place at The Art Hotel and Resort in Amwaj Islands.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad expressed pride in hosting the general assembly in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with representatives from more than 70 countries taking part.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the efforts of HH Prince Fahad bin Jalawi in leading the WCS and advancing the sport while preserving its cultural identity and enhancing its international presence. His Highness noted that camel sport, rooted in Arab heritage, has become a platform for cultural exchange and shared values.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad expressed hope that the meeting would produce decisions that support the WCS’s work and contribute to the development of camel competitions at regional and international levels.
