Ambassador participates in Arab League World Arabic Language Day celebration

Cairo, Dec. 19 (BNA): Fawzia Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, participated in the World Arabic Language Day celebration organised by the Arab League at its General Secretariat headquarters, with the attendance of senior officials and religious and academic figures.
The event was attended by Abdullah bin Saleh Al Washmi, Secretary General of the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language; Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt; and Father Tadros Daniel, Professor of Arabic Language at the Coptic Clerical and Theological College and representative of the Egyptian Church.
The celebration addressed the importance of the Arabic language and its civilisational and cultural role, as well as ways to strengthen its presence in education, media, and cultural fields, with a view to preserving its status and promoting its use across various domains as a pillar of Arab and Islamic identity and a means of intercultural communication.
