Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan discuss opening of consulates general

Bishkek, Dec. 18, 2025 /Kabar/. On December 17, Seitek Jumakadyr uulu, Director of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with Nazirmad Alizoda, Ambassador of Tajikistan to the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the Ministry, during the meeting, the parties discussed wide range of issues related to Kyrgyz-Tajik consular cooperation, including the implementation of the instructions of presidents of both countries to establish consulates general in Osh and Khujand.

Particular attention was paid to operational interaction in protecting the rights of citizens of both countries.

In conclusion, the parties emphasized the importance of active cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening consular ties.
