Kyrgyzstan reports on achievements in digitalization at UN

Bishkek, Dec. 18,2025. /Kabar/. On December 16, the closing session of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) was held at the United Nations General Assembly.

At the meeting, the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Mirbek Mambetaliev, delivered report. The event was also attended by the Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the UN, Aida Kasymalieva.

As reported by the department, the minister, in his speech, focused on Kyrgyzstan's experience in digital transformation and noted that digitalization is a key tool for the country's economic growth and improving the quality of life of citizens.

The report covered the following topics:

The country was the first to adopt a Digital Code, and a regulatory framework for the safe and ethical use of artificial intelligence is being formed.

Almost the entire territory of the country is covered by 3G and 4G communication networks. "Digital CASA" project is being successfully implemented.

"North" interdepartmental interaction system, which processes billions of electronic transactions, has demonstrated high efficiency. As a result, the Kyrgyz side confirmed its readiness to actively participate in international dialogue and jointly build an inclusive digital future.
