Social Development Undersecretary participates in Arab Ministers of Social Affairs Council

Amman, Dec. 18 (BNA): Zeyad Adel Darwish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, participated in the 45th session of the Arab Ministers of Social Affairs Council at the level of senior officials, as well as the high-level Arab and international conference on the implementation of the outcomes of the Second World Summit for Social Development, held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
In his remarks, Darwish underscored that social development is a key pillar of comprehensive development in the Arab region, affirming the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to advancing this sector in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government’s policies led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He highlighted Bahrain’s focus on strengthening social protection policies and ensuring efficiency and sustainability.
He also noted that Bahrain’s presidency of the 44th session contributed to enhancing joint Arab action, stressing the importance of continued cooperation, experience-sharing, and the exchange of best practices among member states.
The conference was held with the participation of Arab ministers and senior officials concerned with social affairs and development, alongside the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, to discuss priority issues and strengthen regional cooperation in social development.
