Bahrain Embassy in Kuwait hosts National Day reception

Kuwait, Dec. 17 (BNA): The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Kuwait hosted a reception to mark the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebration of its National Day and the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession to the throne, along with the accompanying national events.
The reception was attended by Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Kuwait; Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs; a number of ministers and senior officials; ambassadors of other countries; business figures; and Bahraini citizens residing in Kuwait.
On the occasion, Salah Ali Al Maliki, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Kuwait, conveyed congratulations to His Majesty the King, to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and to the Government and people of Bahrain, wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
The ambassador highlighted the strength of the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Kuwait, under the leadership of His Majesty the King and His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, noting their positive impact on advancing shared interests and cooperation between the two countries and peoples.
The reception featured an exhibition showcasing key achievements of the Kingdom during the reign of His Majesty the King, as well as a presentation on the HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women Empowerment, marking the launch of its third edition on March 11, on the sidelines of the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
The programme also included poetry recitals and a traditional Bahraini sea-heritage performance, offering guests an insight into Bahrain’s cultural legacy.
