Absher Platform Demonstrates Integration of Data, AI in Serving People, NIC Chief Says

   Riyadh, December 18, 2025, SPA -- Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) National Information Center (NIC) Director Dr. Esam bin Abdullah Alwagait affirmed that the Kingdom is steadily advancing its digital leadership, relying on an advanced digital infrastructure and effective integrative partnerships that have contributed to a qualitative leap in the efficiency and quality of government services, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
   Dr. Alwagait’s remarks came during his keynote speech at the Absher Conference 2025, where he discussed the Absher platform and its impact on accelerating government digital transformation and improving quality of life.
   He highlighted the Kingdom’s advanced digital achievements, including the Digital Transformation Index 2025 issued by the Digital Government Authority, which recorded a compliance rate of 88.30% and a digital experience maturity score exceeding 86%.
   The Absher platform ranked first on this index, reflecting the high level of excellence in delivering government digital services, he said.
   Moreover, he indicated that the Kingdom has continued to strengthen its international presence in global indicators, rising 25 places in the United Nations E-Government Development Index 2024 (EGDI), while maintaining first place regionally in the Government Electronic and Mobile Services (GEMS) Maturity Index 2024 for the Middle East and North Africa for the third consecutive year.
   Additionally, he emphasized that these indicators reflect the significant positive impact of the digital transformation taking place in the Kingdom.
