Honorary Consulate of Kyrgyzstan opens in Rijeka, Croatia

Bishkek, Dec.15, 2025. /Kabar/. The Honorary Consulate of Kyrgyzstan has opened in Rijeka, Croatia.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the office will begin its activities aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the countries, developing trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as providing consular and legal support to citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Hungary Talantbek Kushchubekov, Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan in Rijeka Boyan Shikanich and other relevant persons. It was noted that the opening of the consular office will contribute to expanding cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Croatia, activating interregional ties and increasing interaction between state and business structures.

After the official part, the embassy in Hungary presented a presentation about Kyrgyzstan, reflecting the country's natural, tourist, cultural and economic potential.
