Islamabad, IRNA –Iranian and Pakistani officials have explored avenues to boost economic cooperation, with the goal of reaching a bilateral trade target of $10 billion.

In a meeting between the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Iranian Consul General, accompanied by a delegation from the Qazvin Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture in Karachi on Saturday, both sides emphasized the need to establish a joint trade committee and expand the volume of exchanges.

Joint investment opportunities in key sectors, challenges to economic cooperation, and ways to facilitate bilateral trade were discussed during the meeting between Consul General Akbar Eissa Zadeh and FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh.

The talks primarily focused on harnessing the potential of the private sector and strengthening collaboration in economic and industrial fields, with the chambers of commerce expressing full readiness to pursue joint projects.
