On International Mountain Day, Jabal Ral in Tabuk Highlights Region's Striking Geological Beauty, Biodiversity

Al-Wajh, December 11, 2025, SPA -- Observed annually on December 11, International Mountain Day draws attention to the natural richness of Tabuk Region, exemplified by Jabal Ral.
Located 90 kilometers south of Al-Wajh Governorate, Jabal Ral is a natural tableau reflecting the region's varied topography. The mountain is distinguished by its striking rock formations, sculpted over millions of years, appearing as a meticulously carved masterpiece divided into northern and southern sections.
This natural beauty symbolizes steadfastness and timelessness, where ancient rock formations meet sandy paths. Jabal Ral and its surroundings boast rare plant and animal diversity, providing a safe habitat for drought-tolerant desert plants, birds, and wildlife.
The mountain holds a special place for the people of Al-Wajh, serving as a haven for rest and contemplation, especially after rainfall when its grounds turn green and fill with the scents of wild plants. A valley between the two sections is further adorned with acacia and tamarisk trees, enhancing its biodiversity.
