Saudi Arabia to Host 13th GCC Statistical Committee Meeting Tomorrow

   Riyadh, December 09, 2025, SPA -- Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), will host the 13th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Permanent Committee for Statistical Affairs tomorrow at GASTAT’s headquarters in Riyadh.
   The meeting is part of the GCC’s collective efforts to strengthen statistical cooperation and advance national statistical systems in line with international standards, serving as a key platform to discuss mechanisms for harmonizing statistical policies.
   On the sidelines of the meeting, a dialogue session focusing on international statistical standards and the role of statistical agencies in GCC countries will be held. This session comes under the “Road to Riyadh” series organized by GASTAT in preparation for hosting the Sixth United Nations World Data Forum, scheduled for November 9–12, 2026. The series aims to strengthen cooperation and the exchange of expertise among specialists in data and statistical transformation at regional and international levels while reviewing the latest global practices and trends in this vital sector.
