Bishkek, Dec. 10, 2025. /Kabar/. Groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a multifunctional agro-industrial complex was held today in Baytik village, Alamedin district, Chui oblast.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, attended the event.
The minister emphasized that the project is being implemented within the framework of President Sadyr Zhaparov's policy of supporting agriculture and ensuring the country's food security. The complex is being constructed under investment agreement between Kyrgyz Agroholding JSC and the South Korean company DOD Company, which is investing $12 million in the project. Torobaev expressed gratitude to his partners and noted the importance of international cooperation for the development of the agricultural sector.
The new complex will utilize state-of-the-art blast freezing technology at -35°C, which will:
- preserve the natural structure of meat;
- ensure long-term storage without additives;
- prevent weight, moisture, and color loss;
- meet the high standards of markets such as Korea and Japan.
The project will also:
- create a new market for farmers,
- technologically modernize the industry,
- increase export potential,
- improve the investment environment,
- develop the country's agro-industrial complex.
