OIC Chief condemns series of bombings in Indonesia

Jeddah, July 18, SPA -- The Secretary General of the Organization of
the Islamic Conference (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has strongly
condemned the latest bomb attacks in Jakarta.

The Secretary General expressed his outrage and anger against these
series of senseless bombings and killings, according to an OIC press
release issued here yesterday.

He pointed out that such acts run counter to the noble peaceful
values of Islam and then stressed the need for the authorities to
identify the perpetrators of these heinous acts of violence and bring
them to justice.
