President Zhaparov visits Kyrgyz National Television

Bishkek, Dec. 9, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov visited the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation building on December 8, following a major renovation.
The head of state was informed that the NTRC administrative building, located at 57 Molodaya Gvardia Boulevard, as well as the adjacent broadcasting studio complex and technical facilities, built over the years, were in unsatisfactory condition due to inadequate maintenance and limited financial resources.
Considering the strategic importance of the NTRC as the country's main state broadcaster and the need to ensure its stable operation, President Sadyr Zhaparov ordered the allocation of 307 million soms for a major renovation of the NTRC infrastructure in 2023.
As part of the renovation, the facade of the radio center, editorial building, art workshops, administrative block, and broadcasting studio complex was completely renovated. Significant changes were also made to the internal functional spaces: the dining room was expanded, and the old cinema, which had not been used for over ten years, was converted into a modern multifunctional conference hall. A VIP room for receiving distinguished guests was also renovated.
The head of state toured the updated NTRK infrastructure, inspecting the offices, live broadcast and recording studios, and the classical music recording room, where he listened to a performance by the A. Dzhumakhmatov State Academic Symphony Orchestra.
NTRK General Director Ulan Satiev stated that the studio currently requires modernization and improvement of the hall's acoustics. In addition, renovations to the employees' offices must be completed. President Sadyr Zhaparov instructed that the necessary funds be found to complete the NTRK reconstruction, emphasizing the importance of acquiring equipment for the technical modernization of television and radio within one year, rather than the four years previously planned. He noted that with the extended timeframe for the development of the funds, some of the equipment may become obsolete, reducing the effectiveness of the modernization.
Finally, the head of state spoke with the creative team and congratulated them on their professional holiday – Radio and Television Workers' Day. The employees, in turn, expressed gratitude for their support and attention to the development of the television and radio corporation.
