Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan discuss cooperation in space technology

Bishkek, Dec. 9, 2025. /Kabar/. As part of a working visit to Azerbaijan, Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, visited the Azercosmos Space Agency.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers' press service, during meeting with Dunay Batirkhanov, Acting Chairman of the Agency's Board of Directors, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in space technology, satellite communications, and digital solutions. Kyrgyz side expressed interest in using Azerbaijani satellites for communications, agricultural monitoring, environmental control, and emergency prevention.
Azerbaijan presented the capabilities of its satellite systems, including high-precision territorial monitoring and the provision of comprehensive digital services for government agencies and the private sector.
Following the visit, the parties agreed to continue working consultations and develop specific projects for the implementation of satellite technologies in key sectors for Kyrgyzstan.
