Malaysia-Kyrgyzstan Business Council held in Kuala Lumpur

Bishkek, Dec. 9, 2025. /Kabar/. The first inaugural meeting of the Malaysian-Kyrgyz Business Council was held in Kuala Lumpur on December 8.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the launch of the business council was announced during President Sadyr Zhaparov's official visit to Malaysia in June 2025.

The event, held at the Malaysian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was attended by Kyrgyz Ambassador to Malaysia Anvar Anarbaev, the chairman and members of the business council, including Malaysian business representatives, as well as representatives of the Embassy and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan.

In his speech, Ambassador Anarbaev emphasized that the practical launch of the business council marks the creation of a new platform for the systematic development of the Kyrgyz-Malaysian economic partnership. He expressed hope that the business council would facilitate the expansion of trade and investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia, in the spirit of the agreements previously reached between the leaders of the two countries.

It was also particularly noted that the recent parliamentary elections, held using advanced electoral technologies in a transparent and organized environment, contribute to further strengthening stability and fostering a favorable climate for foreign investment and business activity in the country.

During the meeting, members of the Malaysian-Kyrgyz Business Council discussed key areas for further cooperation, including expanding trade and economic ties, improving financial and banking mechanisms, promoting tourism and transport links, developing educational cooperation, supporting investment projects, and promoting Kyrgyz products in the Malaysian market. Particular attention was paid to establishing and expanding sustainable direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries.
