Tourist Resources in Nampho Municipality

 Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- Nampho Municipality in the DPRK is taking positive measures to make effective use of tourist resources.
After surveying the state of tourist resorts in the region, the municipality is building new service bases harmonized with natural scenery according to a long-term development plan.
The municipality built a multi-functional modern public service base including a riding club, service management station, bicycle course, gold lane and hostel at the foot of picturesque Kuksa Hill in Hanggu District. It remodeled the bathing beaches near the West Sea Barrage and the area of Waudo and built the Ryonggang Tourist Lodging House and Onchon County Hostel.
As the Ryonggang Tourist Lodging House at the foot of Mt Hwangryong is located in a fork leading to Pyongyang, the seat of Nampho Municipality and Onchon County, tourists who stay at the lodging house can go round the Pyongyang Golf Course, the public service base in the area of Kuksa Hill, the Ryonggang Spa Complex, the Ryonggang Folklore Park and other tourist resorts.
The municipality is constructing hostel, lodging houses and maritime sports facilities with the goal to spruce up Waudo, one of the scenic spots on the West Sea of Korea, and its vicinity on the basis of the successes and experience gained in recent years.
It is also pushing forward a long-term plan to provide better conditions for medical treatment and service for the visitors to hot springs and mineral springs by remodeling or building more holiday resorts in Onchon County and Kangso District. -0-
