SEA Games 2025: 11 Nation Flags Raised Ahead of Opening Ceremony

BANGKOK, Dec 9 (TNA) - The flags of all 11 participating nations were officially raised on Dec 8 in a traditional ceremony at the Indoor Stadium Huamark, marking the readiness of the host nation one day before the official opening of the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
Dr. Meechai Inwood, Deputy Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, presided over the event, joined by Thana Chaiprasit, Thailand's Chef de Mission, and delegates from all 11 competing countries.
Thana affirmed that Thailand is now fully prepared to host the Games, stating the ceremony signifies the nation's readiness and spirit. He urged Thai fans to "be good hosts" by welcoming the 10 guest nations with friendship and promoting peace through sports.
In a separate confirmation, the Cambodian delegation affirmed their participation, sending 137 individuals —72 athletes and 65 team officials—to compete in 12 sports. -819 (TNA)
