Scientific Researches at Universities of DPRK
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- Universities across the DPRK are conducting a brainstorming campaign to solve the problems arising in reality.
Teachers and researchers of Kim Il Sung University developed a sealing ring of which the durability is over 2.5 times more than the previous one on the basis of cutting-edge technology, thus contributing to normalizing fertilizer production at the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex and other units.
They also developed the fertilizing method effective in improving the growth of crops and the new water supply pipe leaking detector of the Korean style, thus providing a guarantee for increasing crop yields and putting the supply of domestic water for inhabitants on a scientific basis.
Kim Chaek University of Technology introduced dry-type dust collectors capable of decreasing the amount of consumption of anthracite and oxygen and increasing the output of pig iron into oxygen heat blast furnaces at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex and the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex.
It also introduced the electrical pulse water treatment devices conducive to increasing the yields of paddy rice into hundreds of thousands of hectares of paddy fields across the country and opened up a prospect for applying the devices to the fields of earlier crops and vegetables.
Teachers and researchers of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education have pushed ahead with the work to introduce the system for producing three-diplont scallops into the Sinpho City Offshore Farm and the Ragwon County Offshore Farm.
Pyongyang University of Transport and Pyongyang University of Publication and Printing developed a comprehensive system for controlling the traction and braking power of electric locomotive and a process for printing schoolbag markings by ink-jet, thus making it possible to save production costs.
Teachers of Sunchon College of Technology have developed a plotter to enable the garment factories to put the making of pattern, the preceding process of clothing production, on an automatic basis. -0-
