Presentation of Achievements in Soybean Farming Held

 Pyongyang, December 4 (KCNA) -- A presentation of achievements in soybean farming was held at the Sci-Tech Complex in the DPRK on Dec. 2 and 3 under the sponsorship of the Korean Agricultural Technology Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
The agricultural sector succeeded in breeding high-yielding varieties of seeds and introducing various cultivating methods suited to the geographical conditions and specific reality of the country to increase the per-hectare yield.
Attending the presentation held in the theme of "Introduction of high-yield soybean varieties and scientification of soybean farming" were officials, scientists and technicians of more than 50 units including the Institute for Disseminating Science and Technology of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Wonsan University of Agriculture and the Jagang Provincial Rural Economy Committee.
Such proposals as the one on characteristics and cultivating techniques of new soybean varieties were highly appreciated. -0-
