UAE Ambassador: Bahrain’s hosting of 46th GCC Summit marks key milestone in strengthening Gulf integration

Manama, Dec. 3 (BNA): Fahad Mohammed Salem Kardous Al Ameri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Bahrain, emphasised that the 46th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, represents a significant milestone in the ongoing journey of Gulf cooperation and integration, aimed at advancing sustainable development and achieving further accomplishments that strengthen the Council’s regional and international standing and meet the aspirations of its peoples.

Ambassador Al Ameri said that the UAE, under the leadership of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, remains committed to advancing GCC cooperation through active participation in shared summits and committees.

This commitment also reflects the UAE’s dedication to deepening Gulf integration and promoting prosperity across the region, he added.

He commended the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, for its role in supporting GCC cooperation, noting that hosting the 46th Summit underscores Bahrain’s ongoing dedication to strengthening the Gulf framework.

He added that given the global and regional challenges and rapid changes, this summit carries special importance. It underscores the need for continuous coordination among member states to safeguard security, stability, and to realise shared developmental goals.

Ambassador Al Ameri emphasised that past decades of GCC cooperation, political, economic, security, social, have delivered major achievements and supported fair causes for the Arab and Islamic nations.

He expressed confidence that the Summit will adopt decisions that expand economic integration and cooperation in strategic sectors, supporting sustainable growth and prosperity for member states.

Finally, he commended the Bahraini diplomatic team, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, for their efforts in preparing and organising the Summit, expressing hopes for successful outcomes that advance the objectives of GCC cooperation, and wishing continued progress and prosperity for Bahrain and the peoples of the GCC.
