Sunni Endowments Chairman receives Head of IsDB’s Private Sector Corporation

Manama, Dec. 3 (BNA): Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, received Khalil Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Head of the Middle East, North Africa and Asia Region at the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector, a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB).

The chairman commended the role of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector in supporting development projects and strengthening sustainable economic partnerships in the region. He noted that the Council attaches great importance to all initiatives that contribute to developing the endowment sector and advancing investment opportunities within it.

The two sides discussed avenues of cooperation between the Sunni Endowments Council and the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector in endowment investment and development-oriented projects, in a manner that supports endowment resources and ensures financial sustainability for charitable and community initiatives.

For his part, Al Zaabi commended the progress achieved by the Kingdom in managing endowments and enhancing its resources. He affirmed the Corporation’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise in the fields of investment and development financing.
