Abu Dhabi, Dec. 2 (BNA): Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Arab Emirates, said the longstanding ties between Bahrain and the UAE represent a model of Gulf integration. He noted that these relations have further developed under the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, with the backing of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Marking the UAE’s 54th National Day, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah extended congratulations to HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the members of the UAE Supreme Council, the rulers of the Emirates, the people of the UAE, and all residents, wishing for continued security, prosperity, and development for the UAE.

He emphasised that Bahrain–UAE relations extend beyond conventional diplomacy, reflecting a longstanding partnership and shared strategic interests. These relations are founded on the principles of mutual understanding and cooperation established by the late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and have been further developed under the leadership of His Majesty the King and HH the UAE President.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah added that the bilateral relation is built on trust, shared objectives, and a common vision for sustainable development. Over the decades, it has been reinforced by consistent principles and aligned priorities, serving as a model of Gulf unity and strategic integration.

He highlighted that cooperation between the two countries continues to advance steadily, with significant prospects in areas including investment, digital economy, renewable energy, food security, defence, health, culture, and tourism, thereby advancing their regional presence.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah also noted the high level of coordination in supporting strategic projects and development initiatives, reflecting shared aspirations for sustainable progress. Bahraini–Emirati cooperation remains central to advancing GCC objectives, aligning positions on regional and international matters, and promoting joint security and development, while reinforcing both countries’ engagement in international forums.

He highlighted that the Bahrain-UAE Joint Higher Committee has played a key role in opening new avenues for collaboration, citing the joint exercise "Rabdan Shuwaiman" 2025 in Bahrain as a practical demonstration of close bilateral coordination, enhancing operational readiness and capabilities.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah underscored the UAE’s achievements across multiple sectors, reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to its longstanding strategic partnership with the UAE, and expressed hope that bilateral relations will continue to advance, benefiting both countries and their peoples, while supporting continued security, stability, and sustainable development in the UAE.
