HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad receives organisers of 3rd Asian Youth Games

Manama, Dec. 2 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, received His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), and members of the Supreme Organising Committee and Executive Committee of the 3rd Asian Youth Games, hosted recently by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad said that the efforts of the committees and volunteers embody the sense of belonging and generosity of the Bahraini people and reflect Bahrain’s national capabilities to host major sporting events in line with the highest international standards.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad further highlighted that the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, are central to national achievements across various domains, particularly in youth and sports, which are experiencing a period of development under the guidance of the Kingdom’s leadership.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad also noted that Bahrain’s recent success in hosting the 3rd Asian Youth Games exemplifies national institutional work driven by integrated efforts and effective leadership. His Highness commended the dedication of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad, whose direct supervision and active follow-up were key to the success of this major continental event.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasised that the performances of Bahraini athletes, which resulted in winning numerous medals, and commended the exceptional cooperation among all parties, reinforces Bahrain’s position as a regional and international hub for major sporting events.
On their part, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad and members of the committees thanked HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad for his guidance and support, which greatly contributed to the success of the games. They underlined their commitment to continue working diligently to enhance Bahrain’s international sporting achievements.
