PM Affirms Iraq's Commitment To Further Strengthening Its Partnership With Germany

Baghdad/NINA/- Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed Iraq's commitment to further strengthening its partnership with Germany, particularly in the areas of security, migration, economic and investment cooperation, and climate change, with a focus on the industrial, technological, and energy sectors.

A statement from his media office said that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received the new German Ambassador to Iraq, Daniel Krieber.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Iraq enjoys security and stability and plays a pivotal and important role in the region. He noted that the parliamentary elections, which were conducted smoothly and transparently, reflected the extent to which the democratic experience has been consolidated, especially given the broad popular participation, which is evidence of the Iraqi people's confidence in the political process.

For his part, the German Ambassador announced that a German economic delegation will visit Iraq to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and move towards achieving development and prosperity. /End
