Official: Iran, Tajikistan cooperating in health insurance field

Tehran, IRNA – The CEO of Iran Health Insurance Organization Mohammad Mehdi Nasehi has stressed cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan in transferring knowledge and experience in the field of health insurance.

Elaborating on his recent visit to Tajikistan, and meeting with the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan Abdullozoda Jamoliddin Abdullo, as well as his deputy, Nasehi said over the past year, several meetings have been held between Iran and Tajikistan concerning basic health insurance.

Given Tajikistan’s interest in utilizing Iran’s experiences and capabilities in health insurance, the visit was made at the invitation of the Tajik side, he added.

The two sides also reviewed Iran’s experiences in providing basic health insurance coverage, he stated.

These experiences were of significant interest to Tajikistan’s Minister of Health, he noted.

Nasehi went on to say that he had toured the largest hospital in Dushanbe.

He had also discussed medicine supply with Tajik officials in pharmaceutical sector.
