Thai Queen Suthida Completes Half Marathon in Bangkok, Runs with Kipchoge

BANGKOK, Dec 1 (TNA) - Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana completed the 21.1-kilometer half marathon distance at the "Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok 2025" on Sunday, running alongside legendary Olympian Eliud Kipchoge.
Her Majesty the Queen finished the course in 2 hours, 13 minutes, and 40 seconds (2:13:40). She joined more than 20,000 international runners in the half marathon category for the world-class tourism event.
Her Majesty officially started the race at 2:15 a.m. local time on Phaya Thai Road, before participating in the half marathon with Kipchoge, the marathon world record holder. The route wound through Bangkok's historic heart before concluding at Sanam Luang.
Upon crossing the finish line, Queen Suthida was presented with the commemorative medal by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.
Known for promoting a healthy lifestyle, the Queen is a role model who regularly engages in sports, including running, sailing, and ice hockey. This marks the second consecutive year Her Majesty has participated in the Bangkok marathon, having run the 10km distance last year, also alongside Kipchoge.
The full event, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and related agencies, registered over 50,000 runners across all distances. -819 (TNA)
