Thai Military Deploys Air, Naval Forces in Hat Yai Flood Rescue

BANGKOK, Nov 27 (TNA) - The Thai military and various civilian aid organizations launched an extensive operation, employing air and naval assets to rescue and provide critical aid to residents trapped by severe floods in Hat Yai district, Songkhla province.
This massive mobilization became necessary as ground access remained cut off in the inner city.
Helicopters were crucial, airlifting food, water, and essential supplies to inaccessible flood zones.

In critical support of medical facilities, navy and air force helicopters delivered two large power generators and urgent oxygen supplies to Hat Yai Hospital's intensive care units.
On the ground, special operations teams from the Thai Navy SEALs were deployed to breach a path into the deepest flooded areas to deliver aid and evacuate the sick and elderly.
Hundreds of submerged and crushed cars were seen as the water began to slightly recede. - 819 (TNA)
