IMCTC Launches 2 Military Initiatives, Signs Training Agreement with Maldives

Malé, November 25, 2025, SPA -- The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) launched two strategic military initiatives, “Kafa’a” (Efficiency) and “Cybrani” (Cyber), in the Maldivian capital, Malé.
The ceremony was attended by Maldivian Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan, IMCTC Secretary-General Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, and senior civilian, military, and diplomatic officials.
The “Kafa’a” initiative focuses on enhancing the readiness of Maldivian naval forces, particularly in handling sea mines. It includes a comprehensive training program that combines theoretical and practical applications, covering mine types, mechanisms of operation, safe-handling procedures, and extensive field training on detection, clearance, and underwater operations using modern equipment and technologies.
The “Cybrani” initiative aims to strengthen the Maldives’ cybersecurity capabilities through specialized programs in digital protection, threat detection, cyberattack response, and securing national infrastructure.
During the ceremony, IMCTC and the Maldivian Ministry of Defense signed a joint training agreement that establishes a framework for implementing military and technical training programs, exchanging expertise, and building integrated capabilities to counter emerging threats.
