Islamic Affairs Ministry Organizes Training Course for Imams and Preachers in Thailand

Chiang Mai, November 24, 2025, SPA -- A training course for imams and preachers kicked off today in Thailand’s city of Chiang Mai, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, through the religious attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Thailand. The program is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to serve Muslims outside the Kingdom and enhance the role of imams and preachers in promoting a moderate approach.
The four-day course aims to enhance the scientific and practical skills of imams and preachers through a series of specialized lessons and lectures covering various fields of Sharia.
This initiative comes within the ministry’s broader efforts to reinforce its educational and outreach presence abroad, promote moderation and balance, and spread the values of Islam. It also supports the development of imams and preachers, equipping them to fulfill their religious responsibilities through solid scholarly foundations that reflect the Kingdom’s leading role in serving Islam and Muslims worldwide.
