Jordanian Prime Minister, Defence Minister receives Shura Council Chairman

Amman, Nov. 19 (BNA): Dr. Jafar Hassan, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, received Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence, and National Security Committee, and Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Amman. The visit came at the invitation of Faisal Akef Al Fayez, President of the Jordanian Senate.
Dr. Hassan highlighted the strong historical ties and close relations between Jordan and Bahrain, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein. He noted the two leaderships’ commitment to strengthening cooperation and developing effective partnerships across various development fields and commended the progress achieved in Bahrain under its leadership.
He relayed his greetings to His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Dr. Hassan emphasised the importance of continued consultation between the two kingdoms to support joint initiatives in economic, political, cultural, health, and educational areas, and to enhance investment and trade in support of sustainable development.
On his part, Al Saleh underscored the depth of Bahrain–Jordan relations and the steady growth in cooperation. He expressed appreciation for the visit and noted Jordan’s ongoing development across multiple sectors.
He said ongoing visits and communication between the leaderships and officials of both kingdoms reflect the strength of bilateral relations and their shared commitment to further cooperation and coordination in support of mutual interests.
